Neiman Marcus – A Dallas Tradition

In 1907 Neiman Marcus was born in Dallas Texas. This legendary store is a household name and is known for their well-made, couture fashion. Neiman Marcus is also known for their very high prices. This makes this department store out of reach for many consumers.

Years ago, Neiman Marcus began having sales within their department stores, these sales were named First Call and Last Call. These events became famously popular to many people. They were held as an annual event and this made last year’s fall line obtainable to many who otherwise would be unable to afford the latest style made by Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, Carolina Herrera and Armani.

In the early 2000s Neiman Marcus decided to open a store called Last Call, Neiman Marcus. This store opened its doors in Grapevine Mills mall and the inventory was clearance items from Neiman Marcus’s locations. After a few years went by, Neiman Marcus stopped suppling Last Call with the items from the stores and began filling the inventory with items from non-couture lines. One can still purchase great designer handbags, costume jewelry, shoes, and clothing from everyday lines from Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, David Yurman, Cole Haan, Calvin Klien, Karl Lagerfeld, DKNY and the Neiman Marcus brand. Last Call holds incredible deals. What you won’t find here are wedding gowns from the Reem Acra, Oscar de la Renta, or Steven Birnbaum. You will not find custom items from Alexander McQueen, Carolina Herrea, Messika, or Chanel.

There is always a sale going on within this store, the bargains you will find are incredible.
