Val’s Cheesecakes

Val’s Cheesecakes came to life from a heart break in founder and creator’s life Valery Jean-Bart. In 2008 Val’s mother was diagnosed with cancer. His mother beat many odds by out living the time frame given by doctors. Val and his mother began baking while she battled her sickness. Together, over four years the mother and son team created more than delicious desserts. Val and his mother Marie crafted new flavors and combinations that had not been done prior. While forming their baking magic, the inspiration to share the aromas, tastes, and sensations to the masses, became a dream.

By 2015 Val and co-owner, Christopher Reece opened the first location of Val’s Cheesecake to serve Dallas. This small location is referred to as The Shack and is next-door neighbors to the first humble location of the Dallas restaurant Herrera’s.

Be prepared to experience cheesecake in a new way. Their flavors include the classic cheesecakes, only better, and they also offer cheesecakes like Brisket Cheesecake. I played it safe and ordered the Banana Pudding, Turtle, Lovers Lane and Sea Salt Mocha.

The staff could not have been more pleasant to my guest and me. They were informative and kind. I can’t urge yo enough to go out and try Val’s Cheesecake. My experience was overall wonderful!
