I don’t know much about Mediterranean food, but I do know that sometimes I have a craving for a nice gyro, preferably accompanied by a fresh Greek Salad (bring on the feta cheese and black olives!).
Recently I found a new place to satisfy these cravings: Luna Grill! Luna Grill is a “fast-casual” chain from California, expanding into the local area. DFW locations include Dallas, Fort Worth, Richardson, Southlake, Colleyville, Flower Mound and Mansfield – so there might be one near you!
Service is prompt and friendly, with plenty of advice should you have questions about anything. The food is very tasty and the portions are plentiful. Beer and wine is available as well. The interior is a pleasure to be in – clean and bright.
The menu offers choices like a Mediterranean salad (chopped chicken, Israeli couscous, tomato, cucumber, red onion, mint, parsley and feta), lamb tenderloin kebab, El Greco Street Bowl (gyros and fries with feta, tomato, serrano peppers, and green onion with a yummy spicy yogurt sauce) and a Norwegian salmon platter.
Speaking of the salads, I don’t think you could ever get bored here! In addition to the “regular” Mediterranean salad, they have a simple house salad along with tempting choose like an Apple Walnut Salad (sliced apple, gorgonzola, candied walnuts, dried cranberries and spring mix), a Chopped Arugula Salad (chopped chicken, quinoa tabouleh, chickpeas, celery, tomato, feta cheese and roasted pumpkin seeds) and what they term a “Modern Greek” Salad (lettuce medley, chickpeas, feta cheese, Greek olives, pepperoncini, tomato, cucumber and house pickled red onions all tossed in their house vinaigrette). Is your mouth watering yet?
Two final items which should entice you to pay Luna Grill a visit: first, they offer catering. Can you imagine how popular you’d be at the office party showing up with something Mediterranean instead of a boring old pizza or sandwich platter?
Second, They have Macarons for dessert! OMG! I rarely get desserts, but I simply could not resist this treat, and I’m glad I did!
Give Luna Grill a visit, and I’m sure you’ll be glad you did as well! Want to live near this great restaurant? Follow this link from Texas Pride Realty.
