Journey out to this Fort Worth spot and you will find yourself in biscuit heaven. I’m talking about the buttery fluffy deliciousness you’ll find on your next visit to Hot Box Biscuit Club. Located conveniently off Main Street near Sundance Square, this makes the perfect place for breakfast or lunch after exploring this historic city.
I learned about this restaurant through raving reviews from friends and from Fort Worth Magazine, where it’s been voted the best brunch two years in a row. It’s no wonder Hot Box Biscuit Club receives such high ratings with its impressive menu and busy atmosphere on the weekends. We visited on a Saturday morning, and while we did have to wait in a short line, we were able to grab a table outside after ordering from the counter inside.
The inside of the restaurant reminded me of an upscale dinner with its great menu and full service bar. We opted to try two of their speciality coffees and it was better than I could have imagined. The baristas quickly made our drinks and we were off to await our main entrees.
While we sipped on our Churro Coffee and Iced Mocha, we couldn’t wait to get our food. After a short wait it finally arrived and looked almost too good to eat! I tried the Hottie and it was one of the best hot chicken and biscuit I’ve ever had. It was the perfect amount of spice and came with a creamy honey whipped butter for a touch of sweetness. While I enjoyed my choice, my counterpart decided to try The Big Boy which came topped with pimento cheese, house made pickles, and a delightful ranch sauce. The name matched the size of the sandwich and is definitely something that will keep you full all day long. We opted to share a side of their tot casserole but we were so full we couldn’t finish everything.
I am still dreaming of their delicious food and I can’t wait to go back to visit. Next time you’re in the neighborhood or just looking to entice your tastebuds, make sure to visit this hot spot!
