El Primo’s Mexican Grill & Cantina

If you are in Mansfield and looking for a great bite to eat, then a trip to El Primo’s Mexican Grill & Cantina is a must for you. This local restaurant offers the perfect mix of great patio areas, full indoor dining, and even a brunch special for weekend dining.

Upon arrival, we knew we had found the perfect place for our birthday celebration. The ample parking allowed us to get the perfect spot. Even though we didn’t have a reservation, we were able to get seated immediately and enjoyed getting to sit on the patio. There were multiple fans and air conditioning units to keep us cool. El Primo’s also has giant garage doors that open up to the patio and you can bring your furry best friend to sit on the patio with you.

While we had a chance to look at the menu, we enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa that were both amazing. Since we were celebrating, we ordered the house margaritas that came poured table side from the shakers. The margarita was the perfect mix of sweet and sour. Our waitress was great! They helped answer the questions we had and got our food orders to the kitchen quickly.

Shortly after, we received our food, and we couldn’t wait to dive in. During our visit we enjoyed the street tacos that were topped with lots of barbacoa, fresh avocado, cilantro and onions. I tried their fish tacos, blackened and fresh. Everything tasted amazing and complimented the pesto salsa and spicy crema. The meal also came with rice and beans that were super filling.

To top off the experience, our waitress and the manager made sure to check on us throughout the meal. They made us feel comfortable and helped with any needs we had. It was such a great experience and I know we will be back soon.
