Grand Prairie Farmers Market

Start your Saturday on the right track with a visit to the Grand Prairie Farmers Market. Located in the heart of downtown Grand Prairie, this is the perfect spot for locals in the city and across the metroplex.

We decided to check them out when looking for a Saturday morning activity and wanting to support local farmers and businesses. We loved how easy it was to park and navigate the indoor and outdoor spaces. It was smaller than the Dallas Farmers Market, but this also made for a more enjoyable experience as it wasn’t as crowded.

The Grand Prairie Farmers Market had everything from fresh fruit and vegetables to homemade jams and bakery items inside the shed experience. In the yard, you were able to look through a variety of vendors selling crafts, pet items, and other delicious food options.

There was plenty of shade for the hot summer days and even live entertainment that made for an enjoyable experience. It was so fun to shop small and pick up some delicious goodies to eat there and take home. While they are open every Saturday from April to December, they also offer exciting special events such as Hatch Chili Fest where speciality items and vendors can be found. The entire event calendar can be found on their website. If you’re looking for something fun to do, support your local community and spend a Saturday at the market.
