The Shops at Fairview Town Center in Fairview is home to a new restaurant: Mr. Po’Boys!
Mr. Po’Boys is the creation of two DFW chefs who have been featured on the Food Network. Specifically, they’re winners of Food Network’s The Great Food Truck Rally and a runner up in Food Network’s the Great Food Truck Race season 8!
A po’boy is a traditional sandwich from Louisiana, consisting of meat or fried seafood and served on New Orleans French bread. Mr. Po’Boys has unique twists on this Louisiana dish, including the Mr. Jalisco, which is a take on the trending birria tacos! Expect beef birria, shredded Oaxaca cheese with tajin caramelized onions, topped with cilantro/bulls blood micro green mix in this sandwich.
We had the pleasure of trying the Ms. Patricia po’boy, which features fried shrimp on a bed of collard green slaw with jalapeno vinaigrette, sliced tomatoes, and the option of spicy or regular remoulade. Be warned: the spicy remoulade is no joke!
We also tried the Ms. Sweet and Spicy, which has grilled blacken shrimp on a bed of sweet lime vinaigrette pickled red onion slaw, and our house tartar sauce.
There is tons of seating in this sizable establishment, including picnic tables outdoors. Indoor tables have games such as Jenga and tic-tac-toe so you can dine and play at the same time!
