Get ready to entice your cravings with a juicy burger from Twisted Root Burger Co. This restaurant is not your average burger joint and offers gourmet options that everyone will love. So, bring your appetite and be ready to grab a lot of napkins when heading to the location in downtown Arlington.
This location is central to many major attractions and makes the perfect stop for post-game grub or if you are just looking to enjoy a great meal. Upon entering this funky joint, we took a look at their menu since it was our first visit. They did have preset burger options or build-your-own options that let you pick everything from the meat to the toppings. At Twisted Root Burger Co., you will be able to enjoy different meats that you may not find at your traditional burger spot. The different meats had options, from turkey to exotic buffalo. It offered a fun alternative for those looking to truly customize their order.
We stuck to their original menu and had the All American and Tooties Hot Chicken. The All American was close to a traditional burger, but the addition of an extra patty and crispy bacon. All burgers are cooked to medium well unless you ask for something different, and you can have raw or grilled onions added complimentary. This burger was absolutely delicious and juicy. It tasted great with the fresh cut fries. I also grabbed a chocolate milkshake topped with whip cream that was the perfect dessert. My friend enjoyed the Tooties Hot Chicken and she said it tasted just like she was in Nashville. Topped with crunchy pickles and a creamy slaw, it was the perfect mix of spice and indulgence. For her side, she ordered the onion strings that were crispy and delicious.
For condiments, Twisted Root offered regular mustard and ketchup in addition to their atomic spicy ketchup, Dijon mustard, and root beer BBQ sauce that are all provided at the table. In addition to the sauces that can be added to your burgers, they also offer a variety of pickles that can be found in the dining space. I am a huge pickle fan and found myself trying almost all of the flavors they offered. My favorites were the ranch, traditional dill, and the atomic that offered a great punch of heat.
The entire meal was extremely filling, making this a great spot for lunch or dinner. The restaurant offered plenty of seating or options for takeout if you aren’t able to enjoy your meal there. Next time you are looking to indulge, I highly recommend visiting this tasty burger joint.
