While there are several locations across the Metroplex, I decided to visit their Uptown location after hearing such great reviews from friends who have taken the class before. Located on Fitzhugh Avenue, this spot is perfectly positioned off the highway for easy access from all over DFW. I do recommend arriving early to park. They do have a small lot onsite that fills up fast, but plenty of street parking in the neighborhood. Arriving early also gives you time to check in, grab a locker space and pick your spot in the studio.
This class offers classic Pilates moves on a traditional reformer. If you have taken classes before or if are new to the exercise, you will feel comfortable with the movements throughout the workout. You’ll be guided by a knowledgeable instructor who offers modifications and demonstrations, so you won’t feel left behind and can even advance your skills (if you’re up for the challenge). In the class I took, I was lucky enough to be taught by Ashley, who was subbing for another instructor. She was kind, upbeat, and really helped me to challenge myself in class.
In addition to having a great instructor, I loved the community at the studio. Everyone was extremely encouraging and I enjoyed getting to meet other pilates lovers. It made the experience more enjoyable and the class flew by. If you are looking to try a new low impact workout that will have you working up a sweat, I highly recommend signing up for a class near you.
