Mimi’s Cafe

As the temperatures start to dip you may be looking for some comfort food to warm your self up. Delicious flavors and seasonal favorites can be found at Mimi’s Cafe. This casual restaurant in Arlington serves up French and American dishes in their rustic style setting.

Upon arriving to this restaurant in the Arlington Highlands you will be greeted by the amazing smells from their kitchens. You will find ample parking whether you visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I went for lunch and was happy to be greeted by the hostess who sat us immediately in our choice of booth or high top. Our waitress was quick to stop by with waters and ready to take our drink orders while we looked over their expansive menu.

Everything sounded so good that it was hard to decide what I wanted to try. Since it was a cooler day I opted for their lunch special that included soup or salad and half a sandwich with fries. The French onion soup was perfect for the cold day and warmed me up quickly. I loved how cheesy the topping was that paired perfectly with the brothy soup and crispy French bread. For my sandwich I tried the chicken ciabatta topped with lettuce, tomato, and havarti cheese. The sandwich was filling and I loved the taste of their fries.

All in all it was the perfect lunch and great for meeting my friend. We enjoyed the calming atmosphere of the restaurant and how polite all the severs were. It was great for a spot to relax while also being served quickly. I know I will be heading back soon to try their fall breakfast specials or when I’m looking for a hearty dinner.
