Hedary’s Mediterranean Restaurant

Are you looking to enjoy a locally-owned restaurant with a unique atmosphere? Hedary’s Mediterranean Restaurant is a family-owned Lebanese eatery in a stunning Queen Anne house. And if that isn’t impressive enough, they have garden-grown veggies outside!

The house was filled with older jazz tunes from the likes of Frank Sinatra. The staff were friendly and the food was prepared immediately. I tried the falafel, a vegetarian dish made with chickpeas, fava, onion, and parsley that are lightly fried into the shape of round balls.

For my entree, I ordered a traditional Lebanese dish called Sujuk, which is homemade spicy, pure beed sausages sauteed with fresh lemon juice and served with rice. This dish is overwhelming with a variety of flavors in the best way. The lemon juice in the rice is both tart and refreshing. The sausage easily comes apart and those spices really come through.

Each table also receives free housemade bread and it pairs perfectly with anything you order.
