McKinney’s newest independent record store is woman-owned and conveniently located on the Historic Downtown McKinney Square. This record store is edgy, grungy, and resembles a store that you would find in the hip Deep Ellum neighborhood!
Open since 2020, Red Zeppelin Records is a punk-influenced store for vintage and reissued vinyl. Owner Katie Scott focuses on punk, metal, and reggae records, genres that aren’t typically found at your average record store.
In addition to vinyl, Red Zeppelin Records offers patches from a variety of punk and metal bands such as Mastodon, Bad Religion, Black Flag, and so much more. Plus, they carry other mixed media such as Blu-Rays and DVDs relating to music, books, and even apparel! Some of the books they carried in the store include adult coloring books of famous bands, a cook book from Snoop Dogg, autobiographies from musicians such as Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and much more.
