Joe T. Garcia’s is a Tex-Mex staple that has been around since 1935 and should be on your list of must-do’s when visiting Fort Worth. Located close to the Stockyards and Billy Bob’s it’s a great place to grab a bite to eat or drink after a day of fun. With a huge patio area and a delicious menu it’s a spot you can’t miss.

We decided to dine at this famous institution after hearing such great reviews from friends and family. We went during the middle of the week and we’re able to get seated immediately. I would suggest coming at an off time as sometimes there is a decent sized wait, but it’s worth any line! Another pro tip is to make sure you bring cash as they don’t accept credit cards.

Since it was cooler outside the patio was closed for dining, but we did enjoy getting to walk through the beautifully decorated space. After being greeted by our gracious server we ordered a round of their famous margaritas to start as we looked over their menu. Everything sounded amazing but ultimately we choose the enchilada dinner that was served with rice and beans, the smothered burrito, and crispy taquitos. Each had a nice spicy flavor and covered in delicious melty cheese. Both meals were extremely filling so make sure to bring your appetite.

This was truly an experience to remember. Everything from the food to the atmosphere to the top notch service was amazing. I will be sure to return soon!
