Campfire Grill Texas Kitchen

There’s nothing better than southern comfort foods. Especially with the dreary weather that has been storming through the DFW area. So if you are looking for a great meal in a cozy environment then plan your next dinner out at Campfire Grill Texas Kitchen.

Located in Watauga, this spot is the perfect location between Fort Worth and North Richland Hills. We decided to stop by for dinner after doing some holiday shopping in the area and stumbled across this hoping restaurant. Once inside we knew we had mad the right choice as there was a line to order at the counter. They still had plenty of table space for us to eat inside and offered a friendly ambiance that couldn’t be beat.

We took our time to look over their menu and we’re impressed with their variety of offerings. We also loved that they took note of an allergy we had in the party and helped us picked the perfect options that would keep us safe. For our main dishes we picked the chicken fried chicken, blackened catfish and chicken. All of our meals were served with two sides and Texas toast. With the chicken fried chicken it was smothered in a creamy and spicy sauce that had the perfect kick. The chicken had great crunch and tasted great with the southern green beans and mashed potatoes. Both blackened options had great spice and were juicy. We loved that it was served with dirty rice and the same delicious green beans as the chicken.

The food was made to order so don’t expect fast food service, but it was worth the wait! Everything was hot and delicious that it was truly had to pick a favorite. It was an amazing experience and a restaurant I will visit again.
