The Shacks Dining and Dog Park

One of the most unique dog park concepts in all of Dallas-Fort Worth is quietly nestled in The Colony, just outside of Plano’s Arbor Hills Nature Reserve. Take your pup out for a day of food and fun at The Shacks Dining and Dog Park in the Austin Ranch neighborhood.

This open-air patio concept includes a generously large one-acre dog park and six restaurants, too! You do not need to make a food or drink purchase to enjoy this off-leash park, packed with trees, structures for playing, and even water fountains so your pets can stay hydrated no matter the weather!

There’s plenty of seating for you, plus your friends and family to enjoy a nice day at the park and engage in quality dogspotting together. We had so much fun watching our shy mixed breed girl interact with all the different kinds of dogs there. All of the dogs and their owners were friendly and welcoming. We accidentally spent three hours there so you can expect time to fly by.

The Shacks Dining and Dog Park is also home to six restaurants, from coffee, beers and wines; to street tacos; to burgers and seafood. Enjoy a variety of dishes and beverages without leaving your pup unsupervised.
