Lucky’s Hot Chicken

Hot chicken is all the rage now and if you enjoy indulging in this spicy meal, you need to check out Lucky’s Hot Chicken. Tucked away on Gaston Ave in Dallas it might be easy to drive by this delicious restaurant. Once inside you will be greeted by their welcoming staff and retro feel that gets you excited to eat. If the vibe of the restaurant isn’t enticing enough, the smell of their freshly cooked chicken and sides will have you ready to dive in.

We decided to check them out when we were in the mood for crunchy fried chicken with a kick. Their menu is standard with a selection of entree options with sides that can be added on for an additional price. From a sandwich to tenders and even sliders its not hard to go wrong with any of their selections. Each meal option comes with your main chicken entree at the heat level of your choosing in addition to a slice of perfectly buttery Texas toast, sauce of choosing, fries and beverage. While you can mix and match your sides from the additional list, the ones preset with our meal tasted great.

We loved the unique spice coated on the fries and how wonderful the bread was to soak up some of the heat from the hot chicken. I decided on the two tender meal and it was plenty of food for myself. I went with the medium spice and it had a great kick without being overpowering. If you do choose something a little too spicy it’s easy to cool down with their complimentary soft serve that’s available for dine in guests. I loved the entire experience from the ambiance of the dining room and staff to the delicious food. It was something that both myself and friend enjoyed and I can’t wait to eat here again.
