Teddy Bear Park is a real place in Dallas, Texas.

So, you thought you knew everything there is to know about Dallas? Well, perhaps you don’t know everything. Did you know there is a hidden garden within Lakeside Park in the middle of Highland Park? This best kept secret has a 10 foot teddy bear, along with three four foot cubs. The enchanted garden is nestled on the other side of a foot bridge that takes you to the magical world of wonderful statues. One may access this place by visiting the 14 acres of Lakeside Park, located between Beverly Drive and Armstrong Parkway at 4601 Lakeside Drive.

These Teddy Bears were created by Vermont artist, J.T Williams for the Harlan Crow family. These beautiful sculptures were presented to Highland Park on Christmas Eve of 1995.  These magnificent works of art were carved from granite. These adorable bears were inspired by the famous bronze bears that use to great customers before entering the famous FAO Schwartz toy store in NorthPark Mall.

The popularity of this charmed teddy bear spot has basically renamed the park for locals all over North Texas, but it’s easier to find directions and information when using the name Lakeside Park. Once you reach this scenic creek you almost forget you’re in the suburbs of Dallas!
