Arwa Yemeni Coffee

Enjoying coffee is a universal shared experienced with different methods of growing, brewing, and roasting beans all over the world. Arwa Yemeni Coffee is Dallas-Fort Worth’s first Yemeni coffee shop. Located in Richardson off of US-75 and Greenville Ave, this coffee shop incorporates Yemeni and Middle Eastern culture with every cup. Arwa Coffee is a majority female-owned shop named after a Yemeni queen.

Set inside a beautifully modern space that feels more like a museum than a typical coffee shop, Arwa Coffee will transport you to Yemen with every bite and drink. Whether you’re in the mood for a refreshingly spiced tea, a well seasoned coffee, or Arab pastries you can’t get anywhere else, you’ll be content with your picks. The coffee beans are roasted in-house and imported from Yemen. You can enjoy signature coffees like a jubani, which features husks, ginger, cardamom, and cinnamon. Their signature red tea, can be enjoyed hot or iced, and is a premium black tea with cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, mint, and sugar. If you’re indecisive, you can always order a flight of 4 signature drinks for $15!

If you’re looking for a bite, Arwa Coffee has pastries, treats, and appetizers to enjoy. Have a savory Akkawi cheese bread or pair a tea biscuits with a signature tea. If you have a sweet tooth like me, Arwa has Middle Eastern-inspired cakes that are to die for. Choose from rose, saffron, pistachio, and mocha almond cakes. We tried the saffron cake and it reminded us of a Middle Eastern tres leches. We can’t wait to go back and try the other cakes!
